Shredders Are Important Too
Friday, October 3rd, 2008Recycling – can’t live with it, can’t live without it. No matter how hard recyclers try to please the general public, there always seem to be complaints about the operation. This is especially true of facilities that have a shredder.
Even when the shredder is located in an industrial zone, uses dust suppression systems, emits less noise than is allowable, and operates completely within laws and ordinances, people complain about “quality of life” issues.
Shredders are a necessary part of the steel recycling process and without them, there would be much worse “quality of life” issues with which to deal. People need to realize that an industrial area is designated for industrial operations, facilities that are dirty, noisy and yet provide a very important part of our every day lives.
